Living Water
Begin With Water is devoted to natural approaches to health. Sue and I hope to share "truths" about physical health and wellness. We don't wish to be dogmatic and will make corrections as we learn. It is really meant to encourage individuals to take responsibility for their own health, and to share information we hope will help in your own search for answers.
While physical health is important, spiritual health is more important and also mustn't be ignored. In this section, "Living Water," we also hope, without being dogmatic, to encourage you to seek spiritual truths for yourself. And, as in everything, we welcome your thoughts and comments.

Jan 8, 2011 I was up early this morning, just as the snow was beginning to fall, and a verse from the Bible came to mind. It was Isaiah 55:10-11, where God says,
"For as the rain and snow come down from Heaven, and return not thither but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
That led to me thinking about animals in the wild and the rest of creation all over the world, doing what it does naturally, agreeing with its creator and accomplishing His purpose. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Job 22:21: "Agree with God and be at peace; thereby good will come to you." The more we agree with God in our hearts, minds and actions; the closer we live according to His original purpose, the more at peace we will be. We can see it in nature where it happens naturally, but we have a choice to live that way. It's an opportunity for a relationship with our Creator.
If we seek Him, we will find him all aspects of life physical and spiritual. And He is also seeking: John 4:23, 24 "But the hour is coming and now is, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." He wants a relationship with each of us and created us for that purpose. Anything that is true, bears witness to God. The more we seek the truth and then live according to it, the deeper our relationship with Him will be. He designed physical things to teach us spiritual truths. "Ever since the creation of the world, His invisible nature, namely his eternal power and diety, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made." Romans 1:20 But human nature doesn't want to admit the reality of God because the next logical step is to submit to our creator. For example, there are those who take a mystic approach to the earth and natural health, and make it a religion. Those worship the truths, but not the truth Giver. "Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the creator." Romans 1:25 On the other hand, there are believers in God who reject natural or alternative approaches to health and wellness, fearing it is mysticism and against God. We wish to encourage you not to make either of these mistakes. There is no need to fear the truth. Submitting to your maker can only lead to good. Since He made you, He knows what is best for you. And seeking and embracing truth will only bring you closer to the Author of Truth.
